My Hospital Companionship service provides compassionate, non-medical support, ensuring that you or your loved one has someone by their side during what can often be a difficult time.

Whether you would like companionship for yourself or support for a family member when you are unable to be there, each visit is focused on providing comfort, reassurance, and a friendly presence.

Services may include:

🏥 Friendly companionship during hospital stays
💙 Emotional support and conversation
📖 Reading, playing cards, or other quiet activities
☕ Sitting with you during meals or quiet moments
👂 A listening ear and comforting company
📱 Assisting with simple phone or video calls to family and friends
🤝 Providing peace of mind to family members by ensuring their loved one is not alone

Every visit is provided with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect. My goal is to help make hospital stays feel less lonely by offering meaningful companionship and emotional support during challenging times.

What Happens During the First Visit?

Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss how I can best support you or your loved one during a hospital stay. We’ll talk about your needs, preferred visiting times, and the type of companionship that would be most meaningful and comforting.

Whether you would enjoy friendly conversation, a quiet companion to sit with you, someone to read together, play a simple game, or simply provide a reassuring presence, every visit is personalized to your comfort and preferences.

If the service is being arranged for a loved one, we’ll also discuss any preferences, routines, and important information that will help make each visit as supportive and reassuring as possible.

This initial visit also gives you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss your expectations, and ensure you feel comfortable with the companionship services provided before arranging ongoing or future visits.

Can Visits Be Customized to My Needs?

Absolutely! Every Hospital Companionship visit is tailored to your individual needs, comfort level, and preferences. Whether you would like friendly conversation, a quiet companion to sit with you, someone to read together, play a simple game, assist with simple phone or video calls to loved ones, or simply provide a reassuring presence, each visit is personalized to help make your hospital stay more comfortable.

If the service is being arranged for a loved one, visits can also be customized based on their interests, preferred activities, and desired visiting schedule, providing comfort and reassurance when family members are unable to be there.

My goal is to provide compassionate, flexible companionship that helps reduce feelings of loneliness, offers emotional support, and brings comfort and peace of mind to both clients and their families throughout their hospital stay.

How Do I Prepare for My Hospital Companionship Visit?

There’s very little you need to do before your visit. If you’re receiving companionship yourself, simply let me know your preferred visiting times and any activities or conversation topics you enjoy. My goal is to create a comfortable, relaxed visit based on your individual preferences.

If a family member is arranging visits on behalf of a loved one, we’ll discuss the hospital location, visiting hours, any important preferences or routines, and the best times for companionship. This helps ensure each visit is meaningful, comforting, and tailored to the individual’s needs.

Whether you enjoy conversation, reading, quiet company, playing a simple game, or simply having someone nearby, each visit is designed to provide compassionate, non-medical companionship in a way that feels most comfortable for you.

How Do I Know if Hospital Companionship Services Are the Right Fit?

Hospital Companionship services are ideal for seniors who would appreciate the comfort of having a friendly, supportive companion during a hospital stay. Whether you would like someone to sit with you, share conversation, read a book or magazine, play cards or other quiet games, or simply provide a reassuring presence, these visits are designed to help make your time in the hospital feel less lonely and more comfortable.

This non-medical service focuses on companionship and emotional support and does not include personal care or medical assistance.

If you’re unsure whether Hospital Companionship is the right fit for you or your loved one, I offer a complimentary consultation to discuss your needs, answer your questions, and help determine the best support before booking.

What If I'm Not Sure How Often I Need Hospital Companionship Visits?

That’s completely okay. There’s no requirement to commit to a set schedule right away. Some clients request companionship during a single hospital stay or for a specific appointment, while others arrange visits throughout a longer stay for ongoing friendship and support.

During your complimentary consultation, we’ll discuss your needs and determine a visit schedule that works best for you. Whether you’re looking for someone to spend a few hours providing conversation and companionship or would like regular visits during your hospital stay, your schedule can be tailored to provide the support that’s right for you.

How Long Should I Book for My First Hospital Companionship Visit?

The best visit length depends on your needs and how much companionship you’d like during your hospital stay. A 1-hour visit is ideal for a friendly visit, conversation, or sharing a quiet activity such as reading or playing cards. A 2-hour visit allows for a more relaxed visit with plenty of time for meaningful conversation, companionship, and quiet activities without feeling rushed.

If you would like ongoing companionship during a longer hospital stay or would benefit from extended visits, you may wish to book additional time. During your complimentary consultation, I’ll be happy to discuss your needs and help you choose the visit length that’s right for you.
